Depot Repair Process

Our process for repairing devices in our Depot is strictly governed by ISO standards. We apply the same documented procedure to every device that comes into our facility, ensuring each piece meets exacting quality standards.

When customers send their devices to our facility it is properly documented and decontaminated. Next, we test and screen the device for malfunctions according to OEM guidelines. Then the requested service is performed, whether preventative maintenance or full repair. The device is then extensively tested for quality assurance before it is stored in our warehouse or shipped back to the site by our in-house logistics team.

Quest’s depot repair services can be utilized for products in every stage of life, from new product introductions to end-of-life service on legacy devices.

Depot Services FAQs

Answers to common questions about Quest International's depot repair and service capabilities.

OEMs use depot repair when equipment can be shipped to a centralized facility for decontamination, component-level diagnosis, repair, refurbishment, remediation, or exchange.
Quest supports depot repair for electromechanical medical devices, assemblies, modules, displays, accessories, and other OEM-approved equipment that can be shipped to a controlled repair environment.
Yes. Quest's depot operations are ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 registered, with documented processes, traceability, and ANSI/ESD S20.20 certification. Quest also holds additional ISO accreditations that support its quality-focused service operations.
A typical program can include inbound receiving, decontamination, triage, sub-assembly or component-level diagnosis and repair, functional testing, cosmetic refurbishment, firmware updates, final quality assurance, and outbound shipping to the customer or end user.
Yes. Quest can consign OEM-owned inventory, ship advance-exchange and loaner units to end users, and process returned defective units through depot repair.
Turnaround times are defined by each OEM program's service-level agreement. Standard programs typically average three to five business days, while expedited and same-day options may be available based on program requirements.
